Happy new year everyone. I am very excited for this new year already, as I have recently confirmed a European tour. I can't say much yet but safe to say that I will be gracing the stage of some fabulous cities. From day one of the new 'working' year I was sent auditions and casting which I always love, I'm always eager to get back on the horse, but I have been bowled over by the opportunities presented to me.
My last show 'Evening of Christmas' went very well, I finished the tour and had a very well deserved break! It was a whole two weeks of shows. It was hard work traveling so much, but I enjoyed seeing different places and meeting the wonderful residents and those who have the difficult and demanding job of caring and running the homes in the fabulous fashion they do.
I found myself in complete awe of the carers, and the attention to detail they put not only into ensuring the comfort of residents, but how they create spaces for them that they recognise from their youth.
Calm rooms that are decorated in the 1950's style, sewing machines, cabinets, old suitcases, really vintage clocks, hand made paper decorations which were made in the days before we bought everything online or through the supermarket. There was even a tea set where residents could have tea, and a replica fire place.
But now I look to 2018, I am continuing to work in theatre but my main focus this year, is getting together some filming and media projects, teaming with actors, directors, and producers all over the country to create some origional content.
